NYSE Euronext reported strong transaction volumes in U.S. and European trading operations for November 2007, highlighted by record activity on Euronext, Liffe and NYSE Arca Options, which is now the third largest options exchange in the U.S.

Average daily volumes of 3.3 billion shares handled on NYSE Group exchanges in November 2007 resulted in year-on-year gains of 26.8%. During the month, 33.6 million transactions were recorded on Euronext cash markets, up 68.3% year-on-year, bringing the total number of transactions registered since the beginning of the year to over 300 million. Liffe registered its busiest November ever, with trading up 38.1% from a year ago. Total volume for equity options trading on NYSE Arca Options reached record levels increasing 72.5% year-on-year. Average daily volume in November improved by 108.7% year-on-year, which included November’s new record of 1.97 million contracts traded daily.

Cash Products

Euronext

- Euronext’s cash markets registered their busiest month ever with 33.6 million transactions completed in November 2007, up 68.3% from the same month last year, representing a record average daily volume of 1.5 million transactions.

- In total, more than 300 million cash transactions were registered on Euronext since the beginning of the year, up 48.5% from the same period in 2006.

- Euronext reported 32.2 million equity transactions in November 2007, up 69.2% year-on-year. This brought the year-to-date total number of transactions to 287 million, up 49.1% versus the same period last year.

- Year-on-year transactions on Euronext were up 152.7% for ETFs and up 52.6% for structured products, including warrants and certificates.

NYSE Group

- NYSE Group’s exchanges reported 3.3 billion shares handled per day in November, up 26.8% year-on-year. Average daily handled volume in 2007 is up 53.7% year-to-date compared to 2006.

- NYSE Group’s operations in NYSE-listed securities reported 2.5 billion shares handled per day, up 29.3% from the same month last year with total volume in 2007 up 19.6% year-to-date.

-NYSE Group’s operations in ETF trading reported 397 million shares handled daily, up 117.7% from the same period last year with total volume in 2007 up 64.4% year-to-date. NYSE Arca’s primary listed ETFs represented 67% of the total assets under management and 41% of ETF trading volume for all U.S. ETFs year-to-date.

Derivatives Products

Liffe

- Liffe, NYSE Euronext’s leading futures and options business, has had its busiest November ever, with more than 82 million futures and options contracts traded, up 38.1% year-on-year.

- Interest rate products traded over 45 million contracts in November, up 23.3% from the same month last year. Of this, 42 million contracts were in short-term interest rate (STIR) products. Over 459 million interest rate contracts have been traded year-to-date, up 26.6% from the same period last year.

- Equity products traded 36.3 million contracts in November, up 62.9% from the same month last year. More that 382 million equity contracts have been traded year-to-date, up 34.8% from the same period in 2006.

- Liffe’s Commodity products traded 1.1 million futures and options contracts in November, up 33.1% from November last year. Volumes are up 29.3% year-to-date.

- Bclear, Liffe’s pioneering wholesale service, processed 8.9 million contracts during the month of November, bringing the number of contracts processed so far this year to a record 105 million, up 120.6% from the same period last year.

NYSE Arca Options

- NYSE Arca reported a new all-time record of 1.97 million equity options contracts executed daily on average in November, up over 300,000 contracts from last month’s record or 1.66 million contracts traded daily. With nearly 300 million equity options contracts traded since the beginning of the year, NYSE Arca Options volume has increased up 72.5% compared to the same period last year.

- In approximately one year since its launch, NYSE Arca has become the third largest options exchange in the U.S. both for overall trading in equity options and the SEC penny pilot in November 2007.

- With 41.3 million total contracts traded in November, an 8.0% increase from the previous record of 38.3 million contracts set in October 2007, NYSE Arca Options also achieved a new record in overall share of trading, capturing 14.6% of all equity options contracts traded, a 2.9% increase year-on-year.

-In November, 20.4 million contracts were traded on NYSE Arca Options in the SEC options penny pilot, with 17.4 million, or 85% traded electronically. Share of trading in the 35 penny pilot issues in November was 16.5%.

Listings

Euronext

- Seven IPOs were added on Euronext’s markets in November 2007, bringing the total number of IPOs since the beginning of the year to a record 125, with €9.4/$13.9 billion raised in connection with new listings.

- Additionally, seven new ETFs were listed on NextTrack in November, bringing the total number of new ETF listings since the beginning of the year to 68.

NYSE Group

- The month of November produced a total of 32 new listings on NYSE Group markets, including 12 IPOs by operating companies on the NYSE, and 1 IPO by an operating company on NYSE Arca. During the month, NYSE Group also listed 8 Exchange Traded products on NYSE Arca, as well as the new listing of 6 new structured products.

- Of the 12 new operating companies listed, 8 US domestic companies raised a total of €2.8/$4.1 billion in connection with listing, while 4 non-US companies raised a total of €1.2/$1.7 billion in IPO proceeds in connection with listing on the NYSE. The new operating company that listed on NYSE Arca raised €64.0/$94.5 million with its listing on the exchange.

- Two new closed-end funds listed in November, raising a total of €359.7/$531.0 million.
